GPs have a responsibility to support and work with you in your caring role but also to help you to maintain your own health.We will work alongside carers to recognise, identify and offer support through all healthcare provision.We know that more than 80% of carers say that their caring role has damaged their health and carers providing more than 50 hours of care per week are twice as likely to report ill-health as those not providing care.
