Thomas Edward Northam, 53, former resident of Granite Bay and Pleasanton, CA died on March 1st, 2017 at Sutter Hospital in Roseville from injuries sustained in a car accident on February 18, 2017.

He finished his career in Silicon Valley, working for Cadence Design Systems on software for integrated circuits and coordinating their research programs at universities around the country.

He and his wife enjoyed travel, volunteering and spending time with their children and grandchildren.Tom was born on 9/22/63 in Redwood City, CA to Ann Northam Hill and the late Raymond L. He attended Pleasanton schools and played soccer, Little League baseball and CYO basketball.He graduated with an incredible circle of friends from Amador High School in 1981 where he earned all East Bay Athletic League recognition in baseball and basketball. and was an aide to then CA senator, Pete Wilson, before starting his 30 year career with the Federal Aviation Administration.As the founder of Carol Jeans Dance Studio, she taught dancing to thousands of students in Livermore from 1946 until 2007.Carol Jean who danced her way through more than six decades of wartime, and economic and social change once said that she particularly loved introducing youngsters to the joys of dance.He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.... He then earned a Master's of Business Administration from Golden Gate University in 1975. He married Vivian Fong Chan Nishimoto, on July 28, 1973. She was the loving wife of Armand Cattalini, also a Pleasanton native, who preceded her in death in 2009. Armand and Isabel met while Armand was serving with the U. Isabel lived long enough to see Alfred's plaque enshrined on the recently dedicated Veteran's Memorial in the Pleasanton Pioneer Cemetery.
